Amerson Ministries is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation, established in 1988, designed for ministry to the local church, the church at large and to the un-churched. Amerson Ministries was created to assist Steve Amerson in the vision to touch lives and effect culture through music. With this in mind, Steve has ministered across the United States and in foreign countries including Israel, Australia, Canada, Turkey and Greece. He has been a guest soloist for Billy Graham Crusades, Luis Pulau and traveled and ministered with David Jeremiah, Chuck Swindoll, Bruce Wilkinson and Jack Hayford. He has participated in events with organizations such as Opportunity International, The Seed Company, The American Bible Society, Bryan College, Appalachian Service Project, Knox Area Rescue Ministries and a host of others.

Steve has specific skills and talents in a number of areas. Having worked on a church staff for ten years, he is a seasoned pastor and leader of worship. While Steve has great understanding and experience working in a local church, he also has great understanding of the “marketplace.” His work in “live” concert settings and the music production world of Los Angeles having sung on over 160 movie sound tracks, many commercials and television shows, gives Steve a unique ability to touch a wide spectrum of people.

What makes Amerson Ministries unique?

With all of this in mind, Steve Amerson is uniquely gifted to minister to believers but also reach those who have no relationship with God. Through music, Steve shares of the “new life” that can be found in Christ. Because of his accomplishments in the music community of Los Angeles combined with his God given talent along with God’s anointing, people listen to Steve when he sings. His experience in all genres of music and his professionalism allows Steve to have credibility with an audience and gives an entrée where the message of God’s grace is shared in a winsome and attractive manner.

Amerson Ministries has created 20 albums that Steve has produced and also co-written many of the songs. Not only does Steve use this music when he ministers in churches across the nation, but local churches use his music to minister to their congregations. Steve reaches into the secular arena using songs from the Broadway stage and films with his “Front Row Center” concerts. These inspiring songs from stage and screen are designed to reach out to the un-churched with a message of God’s love and grace. These concerts have been most effective in touching lives and communicating the message of God’s love and grace. Steve has become a musical ambassador for Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation and Society as he has sung for their events throughout the United States. He frequently sings for events in support of Wounded Warriors, veterans and the families of servicemen and servicewomen.

The vision of Amerson Ministries is to act as an agent of Jesus Christ to reach the un-churched, change lives and influence culture with an encouraging and uplifting message of hope and joy which is found in Christ.

The mission of Amerson Ministries is to assist Steve Amerson in utilizing his God-given gifts and talents to help build the Kingdom of God here on earth. Amerson Ministries is unique as Steve is able to use his gifts in all kinds of settings including churches, ministry events, symphonic concerts, corporate events and in educational settings. His desire is to not just to take the “living water” to the ocean (the church), but also to the desert.

To continue to expand AM’s influence and outreach into new areas, the ministry receives contributions. The cost of creating new concert material and recordings is significant and cannot be met by honoraria and product sales alone. AM gratefully accepts donations from those who would like to partner with the ministry in expanding its outreach and impact.

A board of directors oversees Amerson Ministries. Income for the ministry comes from contributions, honorariums, product sales and royalties. All income goes directly to the ministry, and Steve is paid a salary from AM that is determined by the board. The ministry’s financial statement is available upon request.
